Milligan Colllege Students
ACA Students who were awarded a 2016-2017 Ledford Scholarship to provide financial assistance for summer research projects will attend the Student Summit on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Under the direction of their faculty mentors, they have gained valuable experience and now will be given an opportunity to learn more about their chosen fields of study.
By sharing their research with other Ledford Scholars and faculty mentors, they will learn more about professional development activities. In addition, scholar presentations will be to an estimated 300 plus Summit participants just prior to the lunch program on Saturday.
- Appropriate business dress
- Posters must be displayed on easels (provided by student) or tables (provided by host facility). Tape and pins on walls is not permissible.
- Two presentations will be shared per 8' banquet table. Tri fold display boards are recommended.
If you need an electric power source for your presentation, please notify us in advance of attendance.
Registration for the event is covered under the terms of your award, but you will still need to register for the conference! An ACA staff member will be contacting students and mentors with the registration process as well as any additional guidelines and restrictions when presenting your research (poster size, venue compliance, etc).
You may invite up to two guests to observe your presentation and to join you for the lunch program. Guests must register for the event as well and are responsible for their own lodging arrangements and costs, however they may use the reserved hotel block to receive the discounted rate. The block will close on September 5, 2017.
Students- your lodging will be secured by ACA staff for the evening of Friday, September 29, 2017 if indicated on your completed registration. You will be notified via email of your reservation confirmation.
Mentors- Participating as a student mentor entitles you to one night stay at the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center on Friday, September 29, 2017. All mentors are responsible for securing their own lodging either online or by phone by using the ACA room block information provided.
Guests- All guests are responsible for their own lodging arrangements and associated costs.
