New Vice President for Academic Programs

Dr. Larry Hall has been appointed as the next Vice President for Academic Programs for the Appalachian College Association, effective February 2018. Larry comes to the ACA from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory North Carolina, where he has served as  University Provost since 2007. While at Lenoir-Rhyne, Larry worked extensively with the ACA, serving on the Dean's Council and Executive Committee, among other leadership positions. Prior to his appointment at Lenoir-Rhyne, Larry was a faculty member and academic administrator at Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee.

Dr. Hall's undergraduate degree in political science is from Carson-Newman; he studied economics at George Mason University and earned his master's and doctorate in political science from the University of Tennessee.
