Tuition Discount Program

The Appalachian College Association is pleased to facilitate a graduate tuition discount program for members’ students and employees. The program seeks to encourage greater educational attainment and professional development among ACA faculty and staff and to furnish its qualified undergraduate students enhanced and more affordable opportunities to achieve their educational goals while remaining in the Central Appalachian region. This program is available to three groups: 1.) ACA full-time faculty seeking terminal degree credentials; 2.) all other ACA member institution full-time employees (including faculty seeking other degrees); and 3.) students who have completed/are completing an undergraduate degree from an ACA member institution.

Member institutions that offer graduate degrees determine whether and to what extent they wish to participate in the ACA discount program. Currently, the program includes 20 institutions, offering nearly 170 programs at discounted tuition.

Participants in the discount program must abide by all employment requirements at their home institution and must meet all admissions criteria and follow all policies and procedures governing students at the institution offering the academic program. Anyone who begins a degree program and remains in good standing will be allowed to continue at the initially determined discount rate, even if the program discount is removed in subsequent years. The program discount applies only to tuition and may not be combined with any other discounts. For full details on policies and for participating programs, please click on the links below.
