Moving the Needle (with Credo Higher Education)
The Appalachian College Association partners with Credo Higher Education to offer a cohort approach to Credo’s highly successful Moving the Needle initiative. This comprehensive program addresses campus-specific opportunities to improve student success and retention. In the cohort approach to this project, institutional teams work both within their campus and across campuses with others who share institutional mission and characteristics.
Two ACA cohorts have already begun their Moving the Needle work. In the fall of 2020, Bluefield University and Carson-Newman University formed the initial ACA cohort. In the fall of 2021, Davis & Elkins College, Emory & Henry College, and Averett University (as a guest) formed the second ACA cohort. Future cohorts are in the discovery and selection process.
